Softball players: please return your uniforms by this Friday, Aug. 26, if you have not done so already!

General:

Today we begin our 15th year of covenantal and Protestant Reformed secondary education. We give thanks for God’s faithfulness. Rev. Brummel will lead us in convocation at 11:30. All are welcome to join us.

We welcome new staff member Miss Faith Hoksbergen. Miss Hoksbergen is from our Randolph PRC. She is currently a senior education major at Dordt University. Miss Hoksbergen is teaching our Algebra II students as part of her practicum. She is under Mr. Westra’s mentorship.

The junior and senior classes are planning to host a pancake breakfast the morning of Labor Day. More information will be in next week’s memo.

Everyone is invited to the Parents Circle fall meeting on September 21.  This will include a speech by Rev. Eriks titled: Parenting Teens: Lose the Attitude.

The Parents’ Circle still has a few committee openings.  We are in urgent need of people to help with the fall harvest sale.  If you can help please sign up here, or e-mail Jason Westra at jwestra@trinitychs.org.

The Parents’ Circle is planning the fall harvest sale once again this year.  If you helped plan the harvest sale in the past and still have the information folder, please let Jason Westra.

Trinity received a letter from the Iowa High School Athletic Association congratulation us for being among the 57% of Iowa high schools who had zero player, coach, or fan ejections during the 2021-2022 athletic seasons. Let’s enjoy another season of good sportsmanship in 2022-2023.

We welcome Mr. Mike De Jager as our new athletic director. He brings a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm to our athletic program. Let’s give him good support by helping as we are able at home games.

School Resource Officer SRO Pollema from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office will be serving Trinity this year on a trial basis. His service will mainly entail being a presence in the building two or three days per month.
