Trinity Memo, Sept. 12, 2016

Trinity Memo 9.12.16

Students:

Seniors, a representative from Dordt College plans to visit here during first period on Friday.

Juniors and seniors interested in taking the ACT test on Oct. 22 are reminded that the registration deadline is this Friday, September 16.

Dordt College has supplied us with the following information regarding financial aid:

The US Department of Education is changing the timeline for release of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This will now be available online on October 1st instead of January 1st and students and families will be able to use previous year tax information. High school seniors this year can complete the FAFSA any time after October 1, 2016 using 2015 tax information. This change is designed to help students and parents get financial aid information earlier to assist them in making a more informed decision about their choice of college.

We will be hosting a financial aid night for about one hour after the volleyball game on Thursday, Sept. 22. This replaces the financial aid night we formerly hosted in January.

General Announcements:

The junior and senior classes thank everyone for their generous support of the Labor Day breakfast. Donations totaled slightly over $2500. There are still a few pans and towels left over from the Labor Day breakfast. They are on a table in the lobby.

The Concession Committee has not been filled for this school year. Currently there are two slots that NEED to be filled. If you are interested, contact Laura Kuiper or Stephanie Van Engen or one of the Parents Circle officers.

The concessions stand will be up and running again at the volleyball game on Thursday, Sept. 22. Three workers are needed for the beginning during the JV game starting at 5:45 P, and 3 more workers for during the Varsity game. Contact Laura Kuiper if you are able to help with either of these shifts. Your help is greatly appreciated.
