Trinity Memo Oct 19

October 19, 2015 by Lorelei Burgers

Trinity Memo 10.19.15

Students: Thursday will be a 2:30 dismissal.

Friday, October 23, marks the end of the first 9-week marking period. First quarter report cards will be available for viewing on JMC by 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 28.

General Announcements: Regional volleyball at home on Tuesday, October 20, at 7:00 P.M. Admission is $6 for all ages as set by IGHSAU and no season passes will be honored.

Thank you to all who volunteered of their time and efforts at home volleyball games this season. It was greatly appreciated. I encourage more of us to consider helping out in this way. I am still looking for a couple of people to help take admission at tomorrow night’s regional volleyball match. Please let me know if you are able to help out. Mr. Van Engen

Cross country district races are Thursday, October 22, at the Hawarden golf course. Start time is 4:00 for the girls’ and 4:30 for the boys’ race.

The teachers enjoyed safe travel and a tremendously encouraging convention last week. The speeches and sectionals were a definite asset in our goal of Protestant Reformed education. The food and fellowship also contributed to the success of the convention. It was hosted by Hope school of Grand Rapids. Next year’s convention is scheduled to be hosted by the Protestant Reformed schools of Dyer, Indiana. The convention dates are October 20 & 21, 2016.

Do you ever wish you could sit in your child’s classroom? You will get the opportunity! The fall Parents’ Circle meeting of Oct. 26 will feature mini-classes taught by the teachers. Make plans to attend!

Supporters of Trinity Christian High School: The Parents’ Circle Executive Board is asking for your help. We need one more couple on the concession stand committee. We also need many volunteers to work in the concession stand. During our home volleyball games, many of the same people gave of their time and at times were working alone in the concession stand. God has given us a great blessing with our school. Can we give some of our time to help with the cause of supporting the school God has blessed us with? Many hands make light work and the fellowship is a blessing as we work together for God’s glory. May you consider this prayerfully. Please contact one of the members for committee sign up and be looking for the basketball concession sign up in the days ahead. Thank You!! The Executive Board: Veryl Heynen, David King, Kimmy Kooiker, Bruce Korver, Dave Van Egdom, Perry Van Egdom
