Congratulations to Caitlin Van Engen who was selected to participate in the Northwest Iowa High School Honors Orchestra.  A day of practice followed by a concert will be held on January 21.

The choirs and band of Trinity will have a concert tonight at 7:00 PM in the school gymnasium. There will be a free-will offering. All are welcome to attend.

Semester exams are scheduled for next week Monday through Wednesday. Students do not have to come to school until their first exam and they are free to leave after completing their last exam each day; however, they may not be coming and going between exams. Teachers will be in the building and available for questions and further review during regular school hours. Semester Exam Schedule 2015

General Announcements:

Refrigerator magnets are available in the school office for $1 each.

Basketball schedule for this week will be as follows:

  • Tuesday – home vs LeMars Gehlen. Boys JV at 4:30 with varsity games to follow.
  • Thursday – at Remsen Union. Boys JV at 4:30 (previously a girls JV but cancelled due to Remsen’s lack of players), varsity games to follow at 6:00
  • Saturday – at Akron Westfield. Varsity girls at 3:00 with the boys to follow. Freshmen boys will play in a tournament at Hinton. First game is at 10:00 with the 2nd game at either 12:00 or 1:00 depending on if they win or lose.

The following people are signed up work in the concession stand tomorrow night, Dec. 15.  First shift beginning at 5:30 is Jeanine Huizenga, Mary Vis, and Carl Maassen.  2nd shift beginning at 7:00 is Brenda Regnerus and Nancy Gritters.  There is a slot open yet for the 2nd shift.  Please call Laura Kuiper if you are able to help out on that shift.  Also, we have many slots to be filled yet for the games in January.  Please consider helping in this worthwhile project.

Hegg Memorial Health Center reminder:  TRINITY TIGERS t-shirts orders and payments will be collected on Friday, December 18! All t-shirts will be pre-sorted at HMHC and delivered to appropriate school offices for pick up in early January. In addition to the t-shirt sales, HMHC will be hosting a free supper on January 15 prior to the basketball game vs. HMS. We will be serving Tacos-in-a-bag with Free-will Donations will be taken for Trinity Christian High School. The evening will continue with freebies and family fun during the girl’s and boy’s half-times as well.
