Memo 5.8.23

The seniors had a safe and enjoyable time on their class trip to Minneapolis last Thursday and Friday.

This is our final complete week of classes. Teachers and students covet your prayers that we may labor with diligence all the way to the end of the year.

There will be a regular school day for freshmen through juniors next week Monday, May 15. Semester exams will be on Tuesday through Thursday. The exam schedule can be found on the school’s website.

Seniors will have a class breakfast next Monday morning and then come to Trinity for graduation rehearsal. They should be finished with rehearsal by late morning. Seniors will receive a more detailed itinerary for Monday this afternoon.

Graduation exercises for Trinity’s 12th graduating class will be on Monday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. It will be in the school gymnasium. Prof. Cammenga will address the class, basing his speech on the class text of Romans 12:2.

Trinity Christian will present its final music program for the school year tonight beginning at 7:30 p.m. The band, both choirs, and combined choirs will perform pieces to glorify our Savior and King. A collection will be taken for Trinity Christian.

The music program this evening will be followed by a brief presentation of awards and scholarships to the seniors.

The Sophomore class will be hosting the annual baseball and softball alumni game this week Friday, May 12. The admission for the game will be a freewill donation, with the proceeds going to the Sophomore Class. Concessions will be open at 6:00. The first pitch starts at 6:30. The class also has a delicious concessions stand planned with hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixings and your choice of three salads. We are looking forward to a fun night at TCHS!

Course registration forms for freshmen through juniors are due back on Wednesday.

Please check your homes, cars, lockers, etc., for TCHS library books or novels from the English classroom and return them before the end of the school year.  There will be a more detailed list of missing books in next week’s memo.  Thank you for using the library this year!

Rev. Barnhill will lead us in chapel today at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join us.

Trinity’s 12th graduation will be held on Monday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. It will be in Trinity’s gym and this year’s speaker is Prof. Cammenga. All are invited.

Course registration for freshmen through juniors for 2023-2024 continues.

Reminder that May 15 will be a regular school day for freshmen through juniors. Their exams will be May 16-18.

Trinity Christian will present its final music program for the school year on Monday, May 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The band, both choirs, and combined choirs will perform pieces to glorify our Savior and King. A collection will be taken for Trinity Christian.

Freshmen and Juniors will be taking ISASP tests this week.

Prof. Kuiper led us in chapel this morning. He spoke from Matthew 6:33 on seeking first the Kingdom of God, especially as our covenant young people seek God’s will concerning their earthly calling.

We extend a huge thank-you to all who contributed to the success of the Jr/Sr Banquet and after-banquet activities.

Freshmen through juniors will begin registering this week for their classes of the upcoming fall semester.

Wednesday is Tractor Day. This is sponsored by the Student Council. Please remember that all students who take vehicles to school should park in the west parking lot. The east parking lot is for tractors only. Also, there will be a tractor parade at around 3:00 p.m. which visitors are welcome to attend.

Juniors and junior parents, NCC online course registrations are due to Mrs. Bloemendaal this Wednesday, April 26.  This is the final date they will be accepted.  Please access the email from March 15 for more information.

Please sign up to help on the Parents’ Circle Committees, we are in immediate need of volunteers for the concessions committee before the upcoming baseball and softball season.  There are also openings on the Apparel and Teachers Appreciation committees. Prof. Kuiper will lead us in chapel next Monday, April 24, at 8:25 a.m. All are welcome to join us.

We extend a hearty thank you to all of our supporters who hosted staff and students from out of town for last week’s band festival. Your willing spirit helped bring success to the event.

Freshmen and Juniors will be taking ISASP the week of April 24.

This week Friday is the Junior/Senior Banquet. Juniors and seniors do not need to be in school that day as they prepare for banquet.

Juniors and junior parents, NCC online course registrations are due to Mrs. Bloemendaal next Wednesday, April 27.  This is the final date they will be accepted.  Please access the email from March 15 for more information.

Current sophomores and juniors interested in taking NCC courses over the summer, just a reminder that those registration forms are due to Mrs. Bloemendaal by the end of this week.

This past Saturday, four musicians performed instrumental solos at Woodbury Central High School for the State Solo & Ensemble Festival. Samuel Baker and Lanae Kuiper both received 1’s for their tuba solos. Brooke Meyer received a 1 for her clarinet solo. Jocelyn Mooy received a 2 for her trumpet solo. All these students represented Trinity well. Congratulations!
