Trinity Memo 10.9.17

Students:

Happy Columbus Day! Juniors will be aided in ‘discovering’ their calling by attending the college/career fair at NCC in Sheldon this morning.

Juniors and seniors who wish to attend NCC welding (Oct 19 AM), or financial literacy (Nov 17) workshops should see Mr. Regnerus. Those registered for the heavy equipment workshop are reminded that it has been rescheduled to Oct 25 in the afternoon.

Students are encouraged to continue their efforts on the activities of this month in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the great Reformation. Please continue to submit the names of faithful ministers on the Google document Mr. Huizenga has set up.

The Trinitarian Bible Society is sponsoring a program where our students can complete a quiz on the Reformation and then receive a free commemorative KJV Bible. Many students have the quiz already. There are more in the office available upon request. Completed quizzes should be returned to Mr. Regnerus by October 31.

General Announcements:

We are approaching Parent-Teacher Conferences. They will be the evening of October 16 and the afternoon of October 17. Please contact the office to set up a time for your visits. Also, parents will find it beneficial to check their student’s progress/grades on JMC before conferences as report cards will not come out until the following week.

From the apparel committee– We have 24 travel mugs for sale for $25 a piece commemorating the 10 years that Trinity has been in existence. The front of the mug has the original Trinity logo and the back has Psalm 16:6.  These are the double walled mugs (See picture at bottom of memo). They would make a nice gift as well.    If you would like one, you may stop in the school office or contact a committee member to purchase – Audrey Meyer, Bonnie Van Engen and Lisa De Boer.

Do you have an instrument that you love playing, but no opportunity to play in a band?  Are you in college and playing in band?  Well, we have the opportunity for you!  Trinity Chr. High band invites alumni and post-high supporters to join with the high school students for 2 numbers to be played at our December 11 concert here at Trinity.  If you are interested or need more information please contact Laura Kuiper at lkuiper@trinitychs.org and let her know what instrument you play.  We will need to set up a few rehearsals, but that will be determined later after we find a workable time for everyone.  Mrs. Kuiper will get music to you as soon as possible so that you can get your lips and fingers back in shape.

Advance Notice: Parent’s Circle fall meeting is scheduled for Now 1 at 7:00 PM in the Music room. There will be a few business items to take care of, and Mr. Regnerus will present information about what Trinity is doing to prepare students for life beyond high school.

Robotics apparel can be ordered until Oct 16 at our online store at the following link: http://www.getbranded360.com/ecommerce/trinity-christian-robotics.html?limit=24
