Students:
Tuesday, Oct. 31, we will have a special chapel marking the 500th anniversary of the great Reformation. Rev. Griess will be our speaker and we will have a few special numbers by students. Chapel will start at 11:15 AM (Note the earlier start time). Everyone is welcome to join us.
Hot lunch will be held in connection with our 500th anniversary activities, so plan on Tuesday instead of Wednesday this week. Our innovative ladies serving have put together a delicious German-themed menu.
Next Monday, Nov. 6, Rev. Titus and the Reformation Conference entourage will be in the area. We are planning a time together Monday morning where the students will have opportunity to interact with Rev. Titus.
We have met the challenge! Students have submitted the names of over 500 faithful preachers from the last 500 years. Jacobus Arminius did not make the list. Herman Hoeksema did, as did the obscure Regnerus Bogerman. Thanks to the students for their participation, and thanks to Mr. Huizenga for orchestrating this colossal effort.
Students interested in taking the December 9 ACT are reminded of the Nov. 3 sign-up deadline.
General Announcements:
We are looking for a hammer drill to be donated to the school. Contact Mr. Regnerus if you have a functional but unused one that you could part with.
Have you ever wondered what Trinity does to help prepare students for life after high school? Start thinking about attending the Parents’ Circle Meeting Nov 1 to learn more. Mr. Regnerus will present. If you have specific questions you wish Mr. Regnerus to address concerning this topic, please email your questions to him at jregnerus@trinitychs.org.
From the Apparel Committee– We have 24 travel mugs for sale for $25 each commemorating the 10 years that Trinity has been in existence. The front of the mug has the original Trinity logo and the back has Psalm 16:6. These are the double walled mugs. They would make a nice gift as well. If you would like one, you may stop in the school office or contact a committee member to purchase – Audrey Meyer, Bonnie Van Engen and Lisa De Boer.
Do you have an instrument that you love playing, but no opportunity to play in a band? Are you in college and playing in band? Well, we have the opportunity for you! Trinity Chr. High band invites alumni and post-high supporters to join with the high school students for 2 numbers to be played at our December 11 concert here at Trinity. If you are interested or need more information please contact Laura Kuiper at lkuiper@trinitychs.org and let her know what instrument you play. We will need to set up a few rehearsals, but that will be determined later after we find a workable time for everyone. Mrs. Kuiper will get music to you as soon as possible so that you can get your lips and fingers back in shape.
