Trinity Memo 10.28.19

Students:

This past Saturday Sierra Meyer, Aubrey Van Briesen, and Carson Zandstra auditioned for a spot in either the All-State Band or Chorus. They all represented our school well. Congratulations to Sierra Meyer on being selected to play Alto Sax with the All-State Band in Ames on Nov. 23.
Seniors and senior parents, if you are seeking help on the FAFSA, the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) will host an evening of FAFSA completion assistance on Monday, November 4, 4:00-6:00 pm at NCC in Sheldon, Building B, Room 204. General:

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out Saturday night for the alumni games and showed your support for TC and the senior class. It was a night of lots of fun and fellowship and was enjoyed by all. Total proceeds for the evening were $2100. Thank you all so much. We really appreciate it. Senior Class of 2020.

The Parents Circle met this past Monday. A presentation on the role of counseling at TCHS was given. Members were encouraged to sign-up for various committees. The committee document has been posted on our school website under the Resources tab>Documents>Parents Circle at the very bottom. We encourage everyone to help fill up the remaining committees.

Fun Friday–McDonalds

From the Athletic Director:

• The volleyball team concluded their season this past Tuesday night at HMS. We extend our thanks to coaches Jon Mooy, Tonia Westra, and Janae Van Maanen for the countless hours they spent with our volleyball team at practices and matches.
• The Cross Country Team also concluded their season at the State Qualifying Meet this past Thursday at Holstein. Congratulations to Braxton Brummel who placed #11, earning him a place at the State Cross Country meet at Fort Dodge this coming Saturday, Nov. 2. His race will be at 2:30 pm. Also, thanks to our CC coach Sam Laning for his work with our runners this season.
• There are a number of JV Volleyball uniforms that need to be returned. The numbers are 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8. Please return these to Mrs. Kuiper as soon as possible.
• Also, there are STILL remaining missing baseball JV and Varsity uniforms that NEED to be returned. Next week names will be posted of whose are missing. Numbers missing of Varsity are 1, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, & 18. JV uniform numbers missing are 1, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 18.
• Trinity is looking to fill a TRACK COACH position for the spring season. If interested please contact Laura Kuiper at lkuiper@trinitychs.org.
