Students are encouraged to continue their efforts on the activities of this month in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the great Reformation. Please continue to submit the names of faithful ministers on the Google document Mr. Huizenga has set up.
The Trinitarian Bible Society is sponsoring a program where our students can complete a quiz on the Reformation and then receive a free commemorative KJV Bible. Many students have the quiz already. There are more in the office available upon request. Completed quizzes should be returned to Mr. Regnerus by October 31.
General Announcements:
Parent-Teacher conferences are tonight and tomorrow. Schedules were emailed to each family on Friday. If you did not get on the schedule, you are still encouraged to use the open slots.
Our teachers plan to travel to the annual PRTI Teachers’ Convention this week. This year’s convention is hosted by Adams Christian School in Wyoming, Michigan. We pray that our teachers may enjoy safety in travel and that they may be edified and encouraged in their labors on behalf of our covenant homes.
From the Apparel Committee– We have 24 travel mugs for sale for $25 each commemorating the 10 years that Trinity has been in existence. The front of the mug has the original Trinity logo and the back has Psalm 16:6. These are the double walled mugs (See picture at bottom of memo). They would make a nice gift as well. If you would like one, you may stop in the school office or contact a committee member to purchase – Audrey Meyer, Bonnie Van Engen and Lisa De Boer.
Do you have an instrument that you love playing, but no opportunity to play in a band? Are you in college and playing in band? Well, we have the opportunity for you! Trinity Chr. High band invites alumni and post-high supporters to join with the high school students for 2 numbers to be played at our December 11 concert here at Trinity. If you are interested or need more information please contact Laura Kuiper at lkuiper@trinitychs.org and let her know what instrument you play. We will need to set up a few rehearsals, but that will be determined later after we find a workable time for everyone. Mrs. Kuiper will get music to you as soon as possible so that you can get your lips and fingers back in shape.
Have you ever wondered what Trinity does to help prepare students for life after high school? Start thinking about attending the Parents’ Circle Meeting Nov 1 to learn more. Mr. Regnerus will present.
