This is the week of the 65th annual PRTI convention. All of the scheduled activities will be at Trinity Christian High School. Over 150 teachers from across the U.S. and Canada will assemble for a profitable few days. This year’s theme is “Teaching Wisdom” based on Proverbs 9:9. Rev. J. Engelsma will be the keynote speaker. Retired teachers, along with prospective teachers currently in college, are welcome to join us. The PRTI will hold their annual business meeting Friday morning after breakfast. This meeting will conclude the terms of Mr. Regnerus (PRTI pres.) and Mrs. Brummel (PRTI sec’y).
Plan now to attend the first ever ALUMNI BASKETBALL GAMES on Saturday, October 26. First, beginning at 5:30 pm, our 2019-2020 girls team will take on former TCHS hoopsters. A boys game will follow at about 7:00 involving the 2019-2020 team playing TCHS players from the past. It should be a fun and exciting evening!! Supper will be available the entire evening. The senior class will be serving up hot-off-the grill hamburgers and smoked pork loin sandwiches, as well as salads and baked beans! There will also be ice cream sundaes for dessert. Additionally, the seniors will be providing a “babysitting service” for those who don’t want to miss the excitement of this night. There will be a “nursery room” for your little ones at school, or leave the kiddos home and have a responsible senior or two come and care for them and put them to bed while you enjoy the night out. Charge for this service is “pay as you see fit or are able”. If you wish a baby sitter to come to your house, please contact Mr. Van Engen at kvanengen@trinitychs.org. There will also be a silent auction of baked goods that will be set up in the lobby. All proceeds for this evening for all activities go towards the senior class. Please mark this event on your calendars and plan now to attend as we welcome our former players back to TCHS! Admission is FREE…
