Trinity Memo 11.8.21

There will be a 2:30 dismissal on Thursday.

This past Saturday, Evan De Jong and Brooke Meyer auditioned in Storm Lake for NWIBA Honors Band.  Both were selected to participate in one of the two bands.  Their performance will be in Sioux City on Jan 8.  Congratulations Evan and Brooke!

Plan to attend the Freshman Tip Night Fundraiser tonight at the Pizza Ranch in Hull from 5 to 7. If you prefer not to dine in, order online or by phone. Pizza Ranch will give 10% of those orders to the fundraiser. The Freshman are excited to see you there!

A big thank you from the senior class for a fantastic alumni game on Friday night.  We are very appreciative of the support from everyone and enjoyed the fellowship with all of the returning alumni.  The senior class received over $1700 in generous donations.

Do you have an excess of brand-new pens or pencils sitting around that are looking for a new home? Trinity Christian teachers are experiencing “No-pen-ber”, the month where teachers find themselves running short on pens and pencils. The teacher appreciation committee would like to help re-stock the teachers’ pen and pencil supplies by showering them with these writing utensils at the end of the month. We will be collecting new pens and pencils for the teachers over the course of the month of November. Drop your pens and pencils off in the blue box in the kitchen window at Trinity! Thank you!

Hot Lunch:  Creamy Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Pumpkin Bars

Next Week: Baked Potatoes W/ Toppings, Carrots/Dip, Fruit Slush Cups

The girls basketball team will begin their practices this week and the boys will begin next week.   The first games of the season will be MONDAY, Nov. 29 at Trinity against HLP.

With the first games right around the corner, I will be needing volunteers again.  I am looking for bookkeepers for both home and away games, clock and scoreboard workers.

There will be a gate workers google doc also out this week.  I will post that as soon as I have it finished.   If you can make your assigned time, you may switch with someone.

You can find the complete Varsity schedule on the War Eagle Conference website.  Mark your calendars and come out and support our athletes!

Congratulations to Avery Van Maanen and Jamie Kooima who were named to the All-Conference Volleyball 2nd team, and Belle Schiermeyer who was given Honorable Mention.
