This past Saturday, Belle Schiermeyer and Brooke Meyer were among the 1088 Iowa high school musicians that participated in the 75th Iowa All-State Music Festival in Ames. You can watch the program on IPTV on Thanksgiving evening at 7:00 p.m.
Rev. Bleyenberg will lead us in chapel on Wednesday at 11:00. Everyone is welcome to join us.
School will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday. We will have periods 1-3 and then conclude with chapel. There will be no school on Thursday and Friday of this week for the Thanksgiving holiday.
General:
Parents, please check the website for the basketball concessions work schedule. The schedule can be found under ‘Resources>Documents>Parents Circle’ at the bottom of the page.
Last week we tested our notification system for weather-related announcements and emergency situations. The system worked well. The few “wrinkles” in the system that were reported to us are being corrected.
Only one week left to drop your new pens and pencils off in the blue box in the kitchen window at Trinity to help re-stock the teachers’ pen and pencil supplies for “No-pen-ber.” Thanks! The Teacher Appreciation Committee
From the AD:
Basketball practices are in full swing now. We will be having the media picture day tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 23, with both teams right after school. Team members will need their uniforms.
We look forward to our first game at Trinity on MONDAY, Nov. 29 against HLP. Gate workers are 4:15-6 Carl or Jill Maassen, Mike or Danita Mantel, and Andy or Amanda Moss. Gate workers from 6-7:30 are Nathan or Lora Maassen, Jon or Rachel Mooy and Barry or Patty Pollema.
You can view the Gate Workers assignments here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13o6vUODGQH-TVUW8ZI2sd_c_hW3t50JF03u9BzCrCcE/edit?usp=sharing There was a mistake with an duplicated game, but it has been corrected. You are not able to fill your shift, you are asked to switch with someone or find your replacement. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Also, I still NEED workers at the scorer’s table. I NEED people to run the scoreboard and keep book. We are willing to train you to do this. We cannot run the games without these workers. Please consider helping out in this way. If you are able to help out with one of these jobs, please let Mrs. Kuiper know ASAP. Our first games are Monday!
