Students:
Rev. Marcus will lead us in chapel on Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join us.
The Jostens representative plans to stop at Trinity today, November 1, to visit with sophomores (class rings) and seniors (graduation cap & gowns).
There is a resource under “Documents” on Trinity’s website with the covid guidelines that Community Health Partners provides us. Please refer to these guidelines if you have a covid question.
From the counselor: Parents of seniors: November marks a busy month of finding and applying for donor-funded scholarships for private colleges such as Northwestern, Trinity, and Dordt. Many deadlines are November 15 or December 1. Please encourage your senior to finish their college application if needed and begin to apply for the scholarships they are eligible for.
General:
The Board would like to thank Jordan and Shantelle De Boer for their years of service as janitors at Trinity Christian High School and would like to welcome Mary Vis as our new janitor.
The alumni basketball game is this week Friday, November 5. We have about 30 alumni returning to play both our girls and boys teams, so be ready to welcome back all those former TCHS players. The girls’ game tips off at 6:00, with the boys’ game to follow at about 7:30. The admission for this game will be a freewill donation, with proceeds going to the senior class fund. Seniors will also have babysitting service located in the choir room for those who are playing or for those who want to watch their friends play. Additionally, the senior class has a delicious concession stand scheduled, so make sure to come hungry and check out the smoked pork loin meal with your choice of two salads. We are looking forward to a fun night at TCHS!
Do you have an excess of brand-new pens or pencils sitting around that are looking for a new home? Trinity Christian teachers are experiencing “No-pen-ber”, the month where teachers find themselves running short on pens and pencils. The teacher appreciation committee would like to help re-stock the teachers’ pen and pencil supplies by showering them with these writing utensils at the end of the month. We will be collecting new pens and pencils for the teachers over the course of the month of November. Drop your pens and pencils off in the blue box in the kitchen window at Trinity! Thank you!
Does anyone have a desire to help Trinity with your sewing skills? Last Wednesday’s wind inflicted damage to a nearly new Iowa flag. If someone has a means to sew heavy canvas, the flag can fly again. Just notify the office if you want to help.
