Trinity Memo 5.8.17

Students:

Freshmen through juniors course selection sheets are due back with parent signatures on Wednesday, May 10.

General Announcements:

Congratulations to Miss Heynen! She had long finished her masters degree coursework, but last Friday she finally took time from her busy schedule to actually graduate and get her diploma. Thanks for your hard work, Miss Heynen.

The annual business meeting of the Trinity Parent’s Circle will be held this Wednesday, May 10 at 7:00 P.M. in the music room. Various committee reports will be presented and members will have opportunity to vote on four spending proposals as well as electing new Executive Board members. You should see an agenda soon.

Trinity students, their parents, and all supporters are invited to a technology meeting on Monday, May 15, at 7:00 PM. Deputy Waylon Pollema from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office will have a presentation about some of the dangers lurking the Internet. Rev. Griess will then speak from God’s Word, showing from Proverbs 7 how fittingly our Heavenly Father warns and instructs. This is the same material as was presented at HPRCS in April. If you haven’t heard it before, it is definitely worth your time. If you have heard it already, it’s worth hearing again.

Trinity Christian High will present its Spring Music Program on Tuesday, May 16, at 7:00 PM. Both choirs and band will present numbers in celebration of our risen Savior. Join us for an evening of musical praise.

There will be an awards ceremony for our seniors on May 16 following the music concert. All are welcome to stay and help us recognize these accomplishments and awards.

The start of the baseball/softball season is now only 2 weeks away. We are winding down on things that need to be done yet to have everything ready to go for the first games on May 23.

I am looking for volunteers to help out at home games taking admissions and doing the announcing of starting lineups and the national anthem. A schedule is attached to this memo for you to look over and select any date(s) that you would be able to help. I will need 2 people taking admissions each date and 2 people to do the announcing – 1 at each diamond. If you are able to help out in any way, please let Mr Van Engen know by responding with an email and letting me know what date(s) you can do. Admission/Announcer Schedule

Also, there is to be no more driving of vehicles at any time on the grounds around the ball diamonds. VH Lawn Service was out here Saturday and fixed up and re-seeded many areas, so we don’t want any driving out there any longer.

Trinity Christian is in need of a girls varsity basketball and junior varsity girls volleyball coach for the 2017 season. An Iowa coaching endorsement or authorization is required. Interested persons should contact the athletic director at 712-449-8008 or kvanengen@trinitychs.org.

Fun Friday–Subway
