Students:
Senior Caitlin Van Engen is presenting her original oratory at the All-State Speech Festival today, hosted at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Rapids. Congratulations to Caitlin and her coach, Mrs. Bloemendaal!

Rev. Key will be leading us in chapel on Friday, March 29, at 11:30 AM. We welcome him back to our neighborhood, and all are invited to join us at chapel.

The 2:30 Dismissal scheduled for Thursday will instead be on Wednesday. This will allow our teachers to Skype “attend” the spring PRTI meeting. Mr. Gary Van Der Schaff will be presenting about the Canons of Dordt in the classroom.

Spring Break is April 1-5.

IHSMA Solo/Ensemble Festival has been set for Saturday, April 6, at South O’Brien High School. Times are set by the IHSMA later. Times can be anywhere from early morning to 4 p.m. This festival includes vocal solos and small ensembles, instrumental solos, string solos, and piano. Mrs. Kuiper will help in whatever way possible. See her for more information.

Seniors, Grandparents Day is coming up on Tuesday, April 9. Please invite your grandparents and RSVP on the green signup sheet on the bulletin board by March 29.
The junior/senior banquet has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 18. Juniors and seniors will be dismissed at 11:45 AM on Thursday, and they have no school on Friday, April 19.

Seniors, keep an eye on those scholarship dates!

General:
A large thank you to all who supported the freshmen/sophomore pasta feed/tournament night! About $1200 was raised for the class funds.

Trinity’s band, along with bands from Heritage and Covenant, will present a program on Thursday, April 11, at Trinity’s gymnasium. All the bands will give individual numbers along with some combined selections. On Friday, April 12, these bands will also be participating in the Dordt Band Festival in the BJ Haan auditorium at 7:00 PM. You won’t want to miss these programs!

All of the full-time teachers have returned signed contracts for the 2019-2020 school year, for which we are thankful. There are a few part-time positions where we are still working out a few details. Additionally, the Board intends to offer a full-time contract on April 1 to a new college grad.

The new Badger Sideline apparel is quite fun, so look at it closely to see the white markings on the sleeves and down the back. Get your orders in today! Go to www.getbranded360.com, Shop, then Store and Universities, then select Trinity Christian Golf. No late orders will be accepted! We plan to have the items delivered to TCHS by April 8.

Trinity is hosting the annual PRTI Teacher’s Convention next October. We last hosted in 2010. If anyone would like to get in early on the food committee, please inform Trinity’s office.

We are looking to fill the position of athletic director and cross country coach. See Mr. Regnerus to apply.

Our baseball and softball programs are in need of a four-wheeler, ATV, UTV, or similar device for the months of May and June. If anyone has access to one that can be loaned to Trinity for those two months, it would be a huge help. Good care of the machine is promised. It will be stored inside and used responsibly.
