Trinity Memo 3.2.20

Congratulations to Claire Van Egdom and Ava Brummel on their success at district individual speech contest last Saturday afternoon. Both girls received 1 ratings at districts and now advance to the state contest on March 14.

Juniors and sophomores will be receiving information in English class today regarding an ACT Prep Session offered by Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City on March 20. More details will follow in an email to parents and students this week.

Congratulations to Dana De Boer and Sierra Meyer who participated in the SDSU Honors Band in Brookings this past Friday.

The 3rd marking period will end on Friday, March 6. Report cards will be emailed out no later than Friday, March 13.

The Lord’s hand touched us in an especially near way last week in the passing to glory of 2019 graduate Jordan Gritters. Even through our tears, we confess that the Lord’s way is good. The Lord faithfully upheld and continues to uphold the high school during this trial. We extend a heartfelt thanks for all the prayers and support. Especially uplifting was all the support we received at the Wednesday morning devotions. We thank our area ministers for their help, and we extend a special thanks to Rev. Laning for the comforting truths of Scripture which he brought. The school was honored that the class of 2019 would return to school and grieve with us.

The school will continue to guide and direct students to the spiritual and emotional help they need on an individual basis. Students who desire more help should notify a teacher.

Grandparents of the Senior Class are invited to join with their grandchild/ren on Friday, March 27. More details will be coming in the next week. This will be in the morning, with a lunch served for the Seniors and their Grandparents at noon.
