Prof. Dykstra will lead us in chapel this morning at 11:30. All are welcome to join us.
The county sheriff is encouraging parents, educators, and other concerned persons to abide by the rules for a minor school permit. The permit is only good for school and school activities. Going to catechism or a friend’s house, even if it is exactly along the route to school, is not permitted with the minor school license.
The 2:30 dismissal for Feb. 13 has been moved up to Feb. 5 in order for our teachers to participate in the PRTI meeting.
Congratulations to Shaely Brummel and Abbie Kuiper, who received a 1 rating at district large group speech last Saturday. Their radio broadcast will now advance to the state large group speech competition on February 8.
General:
The annual Trinity Christian High School promotional supper will be held tonight (January 27) at Hull PRC with the punch bowl at 6:30 PM and supper at 7:00 PM. The board encourages everyone post-high and older to come and support our school!
Mr. Regnerus has been offered the administrator position for the 2020-2021 school year. Please remember him as he seeks the Lord’s will concerning his continued calling at Trinity.
The education committee is aggressively pursuing teachers to fill our vacancies for next year. Two interviews have been conducted already and there is a third one coming up. There are 12 college graduates this year.
Would you like to take that instrument out again and play? Alumni and supporters are invited on Friday, Jan 31, to join the Trinity Pep band. If you are interested, please let Mrs. Kuiper know ahead of time so that you will have music available to play. We will play at half time of the boys game. Tuesday, Jan 28 at Harris-Lake Park: Boys JV at 4:30, Girls Varsity at 6 and Varsity Boys to follow. Bus will leave at 3:00.
Thursday, Jan 30 at South O’Brien: This is a rescheduled game from Jan 17. JV Boys will be at 5, Varsity Girls at 6:30, and Varsity Boys to follow. Notice the start time is slightly later due to South O’Brien having a JR High game at the same location right before our games.
Friday, Jan 31 Home against Remsen St Marys: JV Boys at 4:30, Varsity Girls at 6 with Varsity Boys to follow. I need 3 gate workers for the early shift beginning at 4:15. For the late shift starting at 6:15 is Kalie Klein. I also need 2 more workers for that shift. Please consider helping out in that capacity.
Looking ahead to next week:
The game on original schedules for Monday, Feb 3, was reschedule and took place already on January 6 in Adrian.
There will be a game at Home against South O’Brien on Tuesday, Feb 4.
The game postponed from Jan 3 against HLP at Trinity will be taking place on Thursday, Feb 6. This will also be the Senior Night for Girls and Boys.
Friday, Feb 7 is at West Sioux. This will be the last of the Girls’ regular season play. Boys will play one more regular season on Monday, Feb 10 at Trinity against River Valley.
