Trinity Memo 2.10.20

Reminder that the 2:30 dismissal originally on the calendar for February 13 was changed to February 5. We will have a full day this Thursday.

Congratulations to Shaely Brummel, Crystal Brummel, and Abbie Kuiper for representing us at the large group speech state contest on Saturday. Their radio broadcast received an overall 1 rating from the judges, which is the highest score possible.
The new Dare book by Tricia Mingerink is missing from the library and has not been checked out. Please look in your locker, your tote bag, and your home to see if you have it and return it to the library as soon as possible. There are students waiting to check it out.

Spring Parent-Teacher conferences will be held next Wednesday, February 19. Afternoon conferences are available by appointment only; evening conferences are available on a first-come basis from 6:30 to
9:00 PM.

The education committee continues to actively pursue candidates for filling our teaching positions.

Teachers of Trinity and HPRCS had a profitable time last Wednesday when we were able to attend the PRTI winter meeting via Skype. Mr. Rick Mingerink, principal at Adams, presented his findings about the last 100 years of Christian education, particularly how well we are integrating what we believe into what we teach. We were edified and challenged.
You are invited to Trinity Christian’s Pasta Feed and Game Night on Friday, March 20, featuring a freewill donation lasagna supper (5:00 PM-7:30 PM), volleyball (high school age and older, $10/person), bean bags (all ages, free), and Rook (all ages, $5/person). The volleyball tournament will again have separate divisions based on competitive edge, as indicated by your team captain upon sign-up. To ask questions or to sign up, email Rochelle Bloemendaal (
Help is needed to cover library and classroom books. Grab a friend and call the office if you are able to help us out—morning or afternoon is fine!

From the Athletic Director:

We finish up the last of our regular season play with the Boys’ home games this evening. We will be hosting River Valley Boys JV and Varsity. Boys JV will begin at 6:00 with the Varsity Boys to follow right after. The girls’ Varsity team is finished with their regular season. I need 2 more gate workers at 5:45-7:15. I have Lisa DB already. This is your last chance for Basketball gate for the 2019-2020 season.

The Girls’ Varsity begins Regional play on Thursday, Feb 13, against Akron-Westfield at Akron-Westfield High School at 7 p.m. Admission is $6 for everyone. Passes do not work for district/regional games.

Boys Districts will begin next week Thursday, Feb 20. They will be playing against George-Little Rock at G-L-R. Time will be announced later.

Thank you to everyone who has helped out in ANY way over the course of our basketball season. Your help and support is not overlooked and is much appreciated!
