Students:
Reminder that the 2:30 dismissal originally on the calendar for February 13 was changed to February 5. We will have a full day this Thursday.
Congratulations to Shaely Brummel, Crystal Brummel, and Abbie Kuiper for representing us at the large group speech state contest on Saturday. Their radio broadcast received an overall 1 rating from the judges, which is the highest score possible.
The new Dare book by Tricia Mingerink is missing from the library and has not been checked out. Please look in your locker, your tote bag, and your home to see if you have it and return it to the library as soon as possible. There are students waiting to check it out.
General:
Spring Parent-Teacher conferences will be held next Wednesday, February 19. Afternoon conferences are available by appointment only; evening conferences are available on a first-come basis from 6:30 to
9:00 PM.
The education committee continues to actively pursue candidates for filling our teaching positions.
Teachers of Trinity and HPRCS had a profitable time last Wednesday when we were able to attend the PRTI winter meeting via Skype. Mr. Rick Mingerink, principal at Adams, presented his findings about the last 100 years of Christian education, particularly how well we are integrating what we believe into what we teach. We were edified and challenged.
You are invited to Trinity Christian’s Pasta Feed and Game Night on Friday, March 20, featuring a freewill donation lasagna supper (5:00 PM-7:30 PM), volleyball (high school age and older, $10/person), bean bags (all ages, free), and Rook (all ages, $5/person). The volleyball tournament will again have separate divisions based on competitive edge, as indicated by your team captain upon sign-up. To ask questions or to sign up, email Rochelle Bloemendaal (rbloemendaal@trinitychs.org).
Help is needed to cover library and classroom books. Grab a friend and call the office if you are able to help us out—morning or afternoon is fine!
