From the Athletic Director:

Our athletes continue to practice in their respective sports looking forward to their first competition and meet. The volleyball team has one game this week and Cross Country has 2 meets.

If you wish to be added to the athletic email list, email me at lkuiper@trinitychs.org.

This week Tuesday, Sept. 1, we will have our first home Volleyball games against Harris Lake Park. Freshmen will start at 5:00 with the other games to follow after. The War Eagle conference has decided to start games 30 minutes earlier this year. Please note the change.

I am desperately NEEDING volunteers for gate workers and line judges. I still need 3 for tomorrow. Let me know if you are interested in either of these things. If many people volunteer, no one will need to do it often. You can email Laura Kuiper at lkuiper@trinitychs.org or text me at 712-451-9329. I appreciate any help that you can give.

All Season passes will be available at Tuesday’s game. All Season Family pass is $175 and Individual is $75. Volleyball only individual is $25. Single admission is still $5 for school age through adult. Preschool and younger are free.

I also NEED someone to do libero tracking during the games. We will train you if you don’t know how to do it.

Cross Country will be running on Tuesday, Sept 1, at Rolling Hills Golf Course. Races begin at approximately 5:15. They will also have a meet at Okoboji, Milford, on Thursday, Sept 3. There will be a parent driving schedule sent out to parents today. Driving on Thursday to Milford is Evan Brummel and Chad Andringa.

Events will be somewhat different this year due to COVID. Please social distance in the bleachers. The bottom row will be left open as well as 2 rows behind the coaches and players. Coolers will NOT be allowed in the gymnasium. The water fountains in Trinity have been turned off, but the bottle filler is available.

There will be a limited concession stand. They will be selling pizza and other prepackaged snacks, food and beverages.

Another item to note: Please leave coolers in your vehicle. IHSAA recommends no outside coolers be brought into facilities.

Also, when we go to other facilities, there might be other restrictions that they require. I will keep you updated to those as we get closer to those dates.
You can find a complete schedule for Volleyball and Cross Country on the War Eagle Conference page.
