Trinity Memo 4.15.19

Students:
Thursday night, April 18, is the junior/senior banquet. The class sponsors and the different committees have planned an enjoyable and profitable evening. A few last minute reminders to students and their parents:
• School will dismiss at 11:45 for juniors and seniors on Thursday. Juniors and seniors will then have off the entire day on Friday. This is an extra half-day off compared to other years.
• All participants, Trinity students and their outside dates, must abide by the handbook dress code and rules of conduct. The Trinity student is accountable for the dress and conduct of the outside date.
• Mr. Van Engen and Mr. Warner are the class sponsors and will be along to the banquet, etc.

The enforcement of the meningitis vaccine requirement is monitored closely. As we begin thinking about next school year, be reminded that students entering grade 12 must have had the shot before they may begin the school year. Further, they had to have received either the shot itself or a booster after turning age 16. Parents of our current juniors should watch their inbox for an email concerning this.

General:

We have signed another teacher for 2019-2020! Katrina Regnerus will join us, providing some much-needed relief for a very busy staff. We welcome her aboard and wish her the Lord’s blessing as she prepares to take up her new role. (Wedding bells for her and Derk Burgers this June. Lord willing, she’ll be Mrs. Burgers when school starts on August 23.)

We had a profitable time with the visits of the bands of Covenant, Faith, and Heritage last week. Thanks to all who braved the weather and came out for the Thursday concert, enduring some rather Spartan lighting conditions with good cheer. Our bands profited from the Friday festival at Dordt. The Friday night concert was another treat.

Our baseball and softball programs are in need of a four-wheeler, ATV, UTV, or similar device for the months of May and June. If anyone has access to one that can be loaned to Trinity for those two months, it would be a huge help. Good care of the machine is promised. It will be stored inside and used responsibly.
