Memo 3.27.23

Trinity-Memo-3.27.23

On account of our many snow days, one school day has been added to the end of this year’s calendar. Our final day will now be Thursday, May 18, with a noon dismissal. Graduation of our seniors remains on Monday, May 15.

Most of our teachers and support staff have signed contracts to return for the 2023-2024 school year. We pray that the Lord guide our staff and Board as we seek His will for next year.

Today is the day Jayda VE will perform her prose piece at the All-State speech festival in Cedar Falls. If you see Jayda or Ty B this week, take a moment to tell them what a great job they did representing Trinity Christian at speech events this season.

It is Severe Weather Week. We will have a tornado drill.

If you haven’t been in Trinity lately, stop by sometime to check out the new benches in the hallways. There is now plenty of room for students to have a place to eat their lunches or visit.

The road to the west parking lot deteriorated rather severely this spring. All students should use the east parking lot until further notice.

The Trinity Christian High School Parents’ Circle annual spring meeting will be held March 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the music room. The agenda has been posted on Trinity’s website. New members are welcome to attend. All of the Parent’s Circle documents are available under the ‘Documents’ tab under ‘Parent’s Circle’ at the bottom of the page.

From the AD:

MUCH NEEDED HELP: Trinity Christian is looking for an Assistant Baseball Coach this upcoming season.  Please consider this great opportunity to work with our Head Coach, Logan Cleveringa, and the young men in our baseball program.  Yes, baseball is a busy season but it is also fairly short.  From first practice to potential last game is only 8.5 weeks!!  Pitching/Hitting sessions are going on now, but these are led by Coach Cleveringa and are not a requirement of an assistant.  Here is the season timeframe required for this position.

  • Monday, May 1 = 1st official team practice (practices are generally held right after school until school is out and then baseball generally practices later in the day.
  • Tuesday, May 16 = 1st game (schedule looks like mostly 2-3 game weeks)
  • Thursday, June 29 = 1st District Tournament game

If you have any interest or have any questions regarding the requirements for the position, please contact me at ad@trinitychs.org or 712-541-2368.
