The Trinity Robotics bzBots competed in the Western Iowa Regional Championship in Omaha on Saturday. After equipment issues left the team in last place out of 24 teams after the first round of competition, the team rallied back to finish in first place at the end of the sixth round of qualifying matches. The bzBots lost the semifinal round, but still qualified for the Iowa state championship because of our ranking at the end of qualification and because the team won the Control Award. This is the second time the team has won the Control Award, which is based on the robot’s programming and use of sensors, as well as the team’s engineering portfolio and presentation to the judges. The state championship will be held on March 3 and 4, 2023 in Coralville, Iowa.

The 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, hosted by the HPRCS Guild, is scheduled for Friday, March 10, starting at 4 PM. Please see details on the attached registration form. Forms are due February 27. Please hand in to office. Also, please contact Audrey Meyer at 441-3466 if you are willing to volunteer for score table or as a referee. Ball-Tournament.hprcs registration form
