Memo 1.9.23

Trinity-Memo-1.9.23

The Board is pleased to announce that a contract for a part-time position has been offered to Mrs. Alissa Van Maanen to help us out in a remedial position. May God guide her as she gives this position prayerful consideration.

We express a big thank you for everyone’s patience and understanding during last week’s postponements and cancellations. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a weather week such as that one.

J-Term has been postponed to February 22, 23, and 24. We’re confident it will still be a great experience for our students.

Rev. Bleyenberg will lead us in chapel on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join us.

The freshman and sophomore classes are organizing a lasagna supper and volleyball tournament (co-ed teams of 6, high school and older, $10/person) for Friday evening, January 20, with supper starting at 5:00 P.M. and volleyball beginning at 6:00 P.M.  All are invited to the event to eat lasagna and ice cream, watch volleyball, and enjoy good fellowship. Volleyball tournament teams must register by Thursday, January 19. Contact Sara Huisken (shuisken@trinitychs.org) or Rochelle Bloemendaal (rbloemendaal@trinitychs.org) to sign up for this exciting fundraising event and for more information.

Here are results of the robotics meet that took place last week. There were 30 qualifying matches and each team competes in 6. We won all six of our matches and ended up with a number 1 ranking going into the finals, which gave us first pick for alliances. In the finals our alliance won the semi-final round and proceeded on to the championship round, where we lost.  The team also won three of the six awards that are given out, including the Control Award, the Innovate Award, and the Motivate Award.

Students who need to add or drop classes should use the green form for such. It can be found in the office, and it requires a parent’s signature. There is a ten-day add/drop window.
