Last Friday, March 1, was the end of our third quarter marking period. Third quarter report cards will be available no later than noon on Friday, March 8.
On Friday, March 1, the Board offered contracts to our current staff for the 2024-2025 school year. The staff has a consideration time of two weeks. Please remember our staff in prayer as they seek the Lord’s will for next year.
The Trinity Christian freshman and sophomore classes are organizing a lasagna supper and volleyball tournament (co-ed teams of 6, high school and older, $10/person) for Friday, March 15, with supper starting at 5:00 p.m., and volleyball beginning at 6:00 p.m. All are invited to the event to eat lasagna and ice cream, watch volleyball, and enjoy good fellowship. Volleyball tournament teams, please register by Tuesday, March 12. The Board thanks all who supported the Winter Social last Monday night. The offering came to $16,883.00, for which the Board is extremely grateful. The teachers are also appreciative of the interest shown in what’s going on in our classrooms.
The proposals to repair our gym roof and purchase a used bus both passed at the special Society meeting.
Six of our students plan to attend the War Eagle Conference Leadership Summit this week Wednesday. It will be held at Northwestern College.
This Tuesday morning, March 5, each member of the junior class will be going to an individual job shadow. Local job shadow businesses include Agrivision, First Impressions, Orange City Hospital, J Electric, Zomer Repair, and many others. Feel free to ask junior students about their shadow experiences this week.
On Thursday, March 7, the sophomore class will attend the Your Future at Work career event, hosted by Dordt University this year. We pray that this event may be an aid in students considering their future callings.
The individual speech competition will be this Saturday, March 9, at Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll, Iowa. Make sure to send some well wishes to our two representatives this year, Ty Brummel and Jayda Van Egdom.
Save the Date: We look forward to joining with fellow PR high schools from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Colorado on Thursday, April 11. There will be a concert held in Christ’s Chapel in Orange City at 7:00 p.m. that evening. More details to come.
There will be a Parents Circle meeting March 20 at 7:00. We need 1 volunteer each for the Auction food committee and the Auction committee for the fall auction in 2024.
