There will be a 2:30 dismissal on Wednesday, September 27.

The school enjoyed a delicious “tailgate” meal last Friday courtesy of American State Bank.

We are planning on doing J-term on January 3-5, 2024. Look for more information in the coming weeks.

Picture day will be next Tuesday, October 3. There are order slips in the office if you would like one. There will not be retakes this year.

We are just past the first quarter midterm. Now would be a good time to check your student’s grades on JMC. If you need help with JMC you will find the email that Mrs. Bloemendaal sent last Friday to be helpful. Always feel free to contact the school with questions about JMC or your student’s progress.

Attention Seniors! The Yearbook Staff is seeking your beautiful senior pictures and baby pictures. Please email them to either Miss Huisken or one of the staff before December 1.

Chapel will be this week Wednesday at 11:30. Mr. Regnerus will present about the delegation visit to the Philippines of this summer. All are welcome to join us.

No lunches needed Friday! American State Bank will be doing their annual tailgate grilling for our school on Friday. We are looking for two volunteers to join us to help serve (and eat!) the food. Just contact Mrs. Uittenbogaard in the office to volunteer.

Seniors, please remember that this Friday, Sept. 22, is the registration deadline for the October ACT test.  The sooner you register, the better.

The college rep from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls will meet with interested seniors this Tuesday, Sept. 19.

A number of sophomores and juniors will attend a Construction Camp hosted by Southeast Tech and sponsored by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of South Dakota this Thursday, Sept. 21.  This trip has been profitable in the past, and we pray that it will continue to aid students in seeing various trades careers this year as well.

Last week Friday new concrete was poured around the concession shed by the ball fields. We’ll all enjoy the improved accessibility.

Students are reminded to bring a Psalter to devotions every morning.

There are some pans and other things left from the pancake breakfast. Make sure you claim yours soon!

The American State Bank is sponsoring a noon “tailgate” for our students and staff on Friday, September 22. The bank will provide all the food and the student council will sponsor some activities. We are looking for two volunteers to join us to help serve (and eat!) the food. Just contact Mrs. Uittenbogaard in the office to volunteer.

A huge thank-you to all who contributed to the success of the Labor Day breakfast. $2500 was raised for the junior and senior classes.

At the annual meeting, the Society approved the purchase of a school van. The van is purchased! We look forward to safe and efficient transportation of our students to their many curricular and extra-curricular events.

Rev. Brummel will lead us in chapel on Thursday, September 7, at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join us.

Yearbooks are available in the school office. The cost is $30 each.

The new directories are available in the office.

The freshman/sophomore mixer is scheduled for this Friday, September 8. Just a reminder that students should be picked up at the River’s Bend Campground between 8:45 and 9:00 pm.  We will bring any remaining students back to school after 9:00 on the bus this year.

The Board has approved a calendar change for October. Parent-teacher conferences are moved to October 16 and 17. School will dismiss at noon on the 17th. There will be no school on October 18 as teachers travel to Wisconsin. Faith Christian School of Randolph, Wisconsin will host the annual PRTI Convention on October 19 & 20.

Trinity has received a letter of congratulations from the Iowa High School Athletic Association. They are pleased to report that Trinity is among the 46% of IHSAA member schools with no student-athlete, coach, or fan ejections during the 2022-2023 school year. As we start the 2023-2024 school year, may we continue in a Christ-like manner in every aspect of our walk.

Students interested in a career in agriculture or an agriculture-related field may sign up to attend the annual Iowa State Precision Agriculture Day in Sutherland, Iowa on September 6. Interested students need to sign up with Mr. Regnerus no later than noon on Wednesday, August 30.

Yearbooks are available in the school office. The cost is $30 each.

Thank you to all who came out and supported the junior class at the alumni volleyball game on Friday evening. It was an enjoyable evening. $1300.00 was raised.

The juniors and seniors would like to invite you all to Trinity Christian this Labor Day for a pancake breakfast! The students will provide the labor; you just have to bring an empty stomach! All donations will go to the junior and senior classes. A breakfast of cinnamon rolls, pancakes, egg casseroles, sausage, and assorted fruit will be waiting for you here Labor Day morning. We will be serving from 7:30 to 9:30. See you there!

Robotics – there will be a brief meeting Tuesday, August 29, at noon in the library for anyone interested in joining. The first official meeting will be Saturday, September 9 in the morning.

The schedule for concession stand workers has been posted to the website. Look for it under Resources > Documents. The committee thanks you for your help with this!

This week we will have our first Fun Friday. Students may order from Subway. The order forms need to be turned in by noon on Wednesday, August 30. Students pay for their order during first period on Friday, September. The orders will be delivered to Trinity so the food can be enjoyed for noon on Friday.

Today begins the 16th year of covenantal secondary instruction. Thanks be to God for His faithfulness!

Convocation is at 11:30 this morning. Our speaker is Rev. Regnerus. All are welcome to join us.

Parents and students are reminded that we have a 10-day add/drop policy for classes. There is a green form in the office for this. Parental signatures are required.

Next week the memo will be distributed on our normal day which is Monday morning.

Pursuant to strategic planning, the board is currently reviewing the cell phone policy. In the meantime, the staff will strictly enforce the current policy. Please note that no cell phones are allowed in classrooms.
