Trinity Memo 3.29.21

Students:

Next week, April 5-9, is spring break. Classes will resume on Monday, April 12.

The college rep from Northwestern will be meeting with the juniors on Thursday morning, April 1.

Congratulations to Claire Van Egdom! She received an All-State speech nomination for her prose piece “The Shape of a Girl.” The All-State Festival would traditionally be held today at UNI’s campus but is cancelled for this school year.

The jr/sr banquet is scheduled for Friday, April 23. Only freshmen and sophomores have school that day. Students taking an outside date need to complete the “Outside Date” permission slip. They are available in the office. Please remember that the dress code applies to the banquet.

General:

A hearty thank-you to the committee for hosting another successful Grandparents Day last Friday.

Trinity will not have school on Friday, May 7, on account of the extra days we had last October when the Teachers’ Convention was cancelled.

Mark your calendars for an evening of Protestant Reformed high school band members from Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin joining together to present a band program, on Friday evening, April 16. More details to be given later.

From the AD:
Congratulations to Tony Kooiker who was selected for the All-Review Boys Basketball 3rd team.

JR High Baseball and Softball will be taking place this summer. We are looking for someone to organize the Jr High Baseball program. The schedule is already made and coaches for baseball are found, but need someone willing to be the correspondence for the program. If you are interested contact Laura Kuiper or Jill Maassen.

We are also looking for a Jr High softball coach or coaches. If interested you can contact Lisa Schiermeyer or Laura Kuiper. These programs cannot run without your help and assistance.

Trinity is seeking to fill a Boys Basketball Head coach position. If you have questions or are interested, please contact Laura Kuiper, AD, as soon as possible. There are programs and opportunities that happen on the off season that should be organized soon.
