Next week, April 5-9, is spring break. Classes will resume on Monday, April 12.
The college rep from Northwestern will be meeting with the juniors on Thursday morning, April 1.
Congratulations to Claire Van Egdom! She received an All-State speech nomination for her prose piece “The Shape of a Girl.” The All-State Festival would traditionally be held today at UNI’s campus but is cancelled for this school year.
The jr/sr banquet is scheduled for Friday, April 23. Only freshmen and sophomores have school that day. Students taking an outside date need to complete the “Outside Date” permission slip. They are available in the office. Please remember that the dress code applies to the banquet.

ISASP testing is scheduled for this week. We are working out all the bugs so that the tests can be completed entirely online.
There is a 2:30 dismissal Scheduled for Thursday, March 25.

Eighth Grade Day is today! Eighth Grade Day will be over (supper included) in time to get to the concert, which begins at 7:30 PM.
The freshmen and junior classes will be doing standardized testing the week of March 22-25. The tests will be administered online this year.
The student council is sponsoring a gift package drive for the Marcus family. Gift cards and small gifts for the family should be dropped off at the office. Please get these in by Friday, March 19. Continue reading

Representatives from Dordt’s agriculture and pro-tech programs will be meeting with interested students tomorrow, March 9, in the afternoon.
Juniors, just a reminder that the final date to register for the April 17 ACT without a late fee is this Friday, March 12.
Seniors, all elements of the Farmer’s Mutual scholarship (your form, the teacher recommendation, and the school counselor recommendation) need to be handed to Mrs. Bloemendaal by the end of the day on Friday, March 12.
This Saturday, March 13, is the state individual speech contest. We have five speech students who will be performing at state: Claire VE, Sierra M, Ava B, Belle S, and Allison Mooy. This week take a moment to five them a high five! Continue reading
March Memo 3.1.21
This week Friday, March 5, marks the end of the 3rd marking period. Report cards will be emailed out by noon on the following Friday, March 12.
Eighth Grade Day is March 16. That is the same day is the mid-semester choir concert. No worries. Eighth Grade Day will be over (supper included) in time to get to the concert, which begins at 7:30 PM.
The junior class will be working the AAU concessions this Saturday, March 6, for a class fundraiser. Please double check your school email if you are unsure of what work shift or donation you are responsible for. Thank you. Continue reading
