Trinity Memo 5.18.20

All underclassmen who need repairs done to their computer, must bring their computers in next week. Those who do not need repairs do not need to turn in their computers at this time. Mr. Westra

Final report cards will be emailed to each home no later than noon on Friday, May 22.

Graduation ceremonies for Trinity Christian High School have been postponed to Wednesday, June 17.

Mr. Westra has signed a part-time contract for 2020-2021. We are thankful for his willingness to continue on our staff, even if in this limited way.

Trinity Christian High School is looking to fill the technology coordinator position. Anyone interested should contact the school.

From the Athletic Director:

We are still hoping to be able to play our summer sports, baseball and softball. We should know more by June 1. With the hopes of playing, we are looking for the use of a 4 wheeler and/or a Gator for the field work before and after practices and also for game nights. If you have something that we could borrow for the season, please contact Laura Kuiper. Her email is or cell number is 712-451-9329.

As we did not have an Awards Night this spring, below is a list of recognitions our seniors received. Continue reading

As 8th Grade Day couldn’t happen this spring, packets of material were distributed to the grade schools. T-shirts were included!

This is the final week of instruction for our seniors as their last day will be Friday, May 8. Freshmen through juniors will have one more week of continuous learning, finishing on Friday,  May 15. Exams are cancelled. The exam days of May 18-20 will be used for any needed catch-up or late assignments.

Trinity is planning for a physical graduation ceremony. With the relaxing of the social restrictions, our original date of May 18 is still surviving as an option. The board is meeting tonight so hopefully we’ll have more concrete information soon. Continue reading

Trinity Memo 4.20.20.docx

Protestant Reformed clergy continue to provide us with opening devotions for each day. Anyone may view these. Just go to Trinity’s website, click on ‘links’, and click on Moodle. The devotions will be right on the Moodle app.

There are many, many school activities affected by the school closure. Most are cancelled. There should be a decision about graduation soon.

Parents and students, remember to monitor email and Moodle daily for assignments and due dates.

From the Athletic Director:

Due to the COVID-19 situation and per IHSSAA and IGHSAU, all Spring Sports, Golf and Track, have been cancelled for this year. Summer sports, baseball and softball, are currently suspended. A new assessment for baseball and softball will be made in May. Currently, baseball and softball are scheduled to begin on June 1 with practice and games. A decision about an altered schedule for these sports will be made at a later date.

Please continue to remember our school in thought and prayer during these unique times. Pray for covenant homes, particularly mothers in these homes, as the home takes on a different role in the students’ learning. Pray for students as their learning is often more difficult outside of the classroom. Pray for our teachers, that they may persevere in a new and difficult environment. Pray for the Board, that they may exercise Godly wisdom and prudence as we continue through uncharted waters. Finally, let’s all pray in thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father, who sends us these trials in love, drawing us closer unto Him.

The financial drive was last week. If you haven’t mailed in a donation yet, you may still do so.
