Trinity Memo 2.24.20

Students:

There will be a 2:30 dismissal on Thursday, February 27.

Juniors, the last date to sign up for the April 4 ACT test without a late fee is this Friday, February 28. We will spend a few moments in English 11 class going over the process today.

The Northwestern College rep will be in the building Tuesday, Feb 25. She will first meet with the junior class at 12:30. Following that, she hopes to meet with accepted seniors in the library during 6th period. Continue reading

Trinity Memo 2.18.20

Students:

The NCC rep will be at Trinity to meet with seniors and interested juniors at 10:30 AM today.

School will dismiss at noon on Wednesday, February 19. Students will have periods 1-4.

General:

Spring parent-teacher conferences will be held the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, February 19. Please contact the school if you wish to have an afternoon (12:30-4 PM) conference as those are by appointment only. Evening conferences (6-8:30 PM) are in the gymnasium and no appointments are necessary.

The education committee and school board are aggressively looking to fill our staffing needs for next year. We pray that our needs may be met.

You are invited to Trinity Christian’s Pasta Feed and Game Night on Friday, March 20, featuring a freewill donation lasagna supper (5:00 PM-7:30 PM), volleyball (high school age and older, $10/person), bean bags (all ages, free), and Rook (all ages, $5/person). The volleyball tournament will again have separate divisions based on competitive edge, as indicated by your team captain upon sign-up. From the Athletic Director:

The Boys’ Basketball 1st District game will be this Thursday, at George- Little Rock, against GLR, at 8 pm. Admission is $6 for K-Adult. Come out and support our boys!

Trinity Memo 2.10.20

Students:

Reminder that the 2:30 dismissal originally on the calendar for February 13 was changed to February 5. We will have a full day this Thursday.

Congratulations to Shaely Brummel, Crystal Brummel, and Abbie Kuiper for representing us at the large group speech state contest on Saturday. Their radio broadcast received an overall 1 rating from the judges, which is the highest score possible.
The new Dare book by Tricia Mingerink is missing from the library and has not been checked out. Please look in your locker, your tote bag, and your home to see if you have it and return it to the library as soon as possible. There are students waiting to check it out.

General:

Trinity Memo 2.3.20

Students:

There will be a 2:30 dismissal on Wednesday, February 5, instead of Thursday, Feb. 13, so that the teachers can attend the winter PRTI meeting via Skype.

• Did you miss the Alumni/Supporter Pep Band last Friday? No worries, we are asking you to join us again this week Thursday, Feb 6, at the Harris-Lake Park game. If we have enough alumni and supporters join us, we would like to play during boys warmups and also the half time of the boys game. Let Mrs. Kuiper know so that you will have a folder available. Trinity Memo 1.27.20

Students:

Prof. Dykstra will lead us in chapel this morning at 11:30. All are welcome to join us.

The county sheriff is encouraging parents, educators, and other concerned persons to abide by the rules for a minor school permit. The permit is only good for school and school activities. Going to catechism or a friend’s house, even if it is exactly along the route to school, is not permitted with the minor school license.

The 2:30 dismissal for Feb. 13 has been moved up to Feb. 5 in order for our teachers to participate in the PRTI meeting.

Congratulations to Shaely Brummel and Abbie Kuiper, who received a 1 rating at district large group speech last Saturday. Their radio broadcast will now advance to the state large group speech competition on February 8. Continue reading
